January 11, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />January 11, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the <br />last regular meeting were read and approved. No vouchers were approved <br />for payment. <br />BUILDI G DEPARU ENT• SUP-SLA&ARD DIYISION (REQUEST TO DE OL.I <br />Comes now Richard Liszewski, Sub;=Standard Division Supervisor, and requests <br />permission of the Board to advertise for demolition for the following <br />structures, owned by Mrs. Lottis King: <br />715 Marietta Avenue <br />712 Marietta Avenue <br />234 E. Sample Street <br />Mr. Liszewski advised the Board that these structures were in bad condition <br />and the houses were filled with debris and the outside piled with litter. <br />Mr. Liszewski submitted snap shots of the interiors and exteriors of the <br />properties to substantiate his statements. <br />Mr. Liszewski also pointed out to the Board that Mrs. King had been called <br />b efore the Board on numerous occasions in an effort to get the structures <br />up to standard and had failed to comply. <br />After hearing Mr. Liszewski, the Board granted his request to advertise for <br />demolition and to so advise Mrs. King of this intention. <br />Mr. Liszewski also requested permission to advertise for demolition for <br />the following properties: <br />322 S. Laurel Street, owned by Steve Nagy, represented by attorney <br />Peter Nemeth. <br />1321 Elliott Street, owned by Robert Cooper, represented by attorney <br />Peter Nemeth. <br />Mr. Liszewski advised the Board that Peter Nemeth knew of this intention <br />and had no objection to demolition orders. <br />The Board advised Mr. Liszewski to proceed with demolition and advertise <br />for bids. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER ( TRAFFIC SIGNS INSTALLATIONS <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the following <br />installations were approved: <br />1 Stop Sign & Posts at the S.W. corner of Bronson and Sunnyside. <br />Stop Signs and Posts on Belmont at Sunnyside. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARaAENT ( STREET LIGHT INSTLLATION - AI NAIL ) <br />Following the recommendation of Eugene Radecki, Electrical Department <br />Supervisor, the Board approved the following installation: <br />1 - 6000 lumen street light at corner of Miami Road and Fairfax <br />Drive on Pole No. J350 -6. <br />PETITION: RE <br />Ca.UESST FOR STREET LIGHT <br />A Petition from residents of W. Ewing Avenue requesting the installation of <br />a street light on a pole at the rear of 1720 W. Ewing Avenue, corner of <br />Glenn and alley of City limits was referred to Eugene Radecki, Electrical <br />Department for investigation and recommendation. <br />
