January 4, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />January 4, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of <br />the last regular meeting were read and approved. No vouchers were <br />approved for payment. <br />RECOhUENDATIONS• STREET -LIGHT INSTALLATIONS <br />The following requests for street light installations were recommended <br />favorably by the Electrical Department. No action for such installations <br />was taken .by the Board, pending investigation by Mr. Richard J. Duck <br />concerning the budget available for such installations: <br />1 FAIRFAX AND MIAMI ( AL EAU ) <br />Request for installation of one light at corner of Miami Road and <br />Fairfax Drive in Fairfax Estates Addition. <br />2 IRONWOOD & JEFFERSON INCREASE SIZE QE LIG T <br />Request for additional lighting at Ironwood and Jefferson was investi- <br />gated by Mr. Radecki. It is his opinion that the present lighting is <br />insufficient for this intersection and recommended that a 211,000 lumen <br />type light be installed instead of the present 6,000 lumen light. <br />This request was referred to the Engineering Department for investigation <br />by the Traffic Engineer. <br />INSTAIL TIONS: TRAFFIC SIGNS <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the <br />following installations were approved: <br />1. Stop Signs - 2 Stop Signs & Posts on St. Joseph Street at <br />Donmoyer. <br />2. Stop Signs - 2 Stop Signs & Posts on Carroll at Donmoyer. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT; SUB -STANDARD DIVISION <br />Comes now Richard Liszewski, Sub --Standard Division Supervisor, with <br />reports on the following sub=standard structures: <br />The property located at 322 S. Laurel Street, scheduled for a hearing <br />on this date owned by Stefe Nagy scheduled for a hearing on this date <br />has been discussed with Mr. Peter Nemeth, attorney for the oimer, who <br />requested a continuance for one week in order to complete investigation. <br />Request granted. <br />Mr. Lisewski reported that property located at 506 27th Street, owned <br />by Mr. Cook is being repaired by Mr. Cook. <br />With reference to property located at 122 E. Ohio Street, Mr. Liszewski <br />reported that the parties of interest are: <br />Roy L. Devoo, Irving Devoo, Charles Devoo, Earl Task and Mrs. E. <br />A. Gordon. <br />Mr. Liszewski also advised the Board that this house is vacant and is <br />in very bad condition and requested permission to advertise for bids <br />for demolition. <br />
