January 4, 1965 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, January 4, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. No vouchers were approved for payment. RECOhUENDATIONS• STREET -LIGHT INSTALLATIONS The following requests for street light installations were recommended favorably by the Electrical Department. No action for such installations was taken .by the Board, pending investigation by Mr. Richard J. Duck concerning the budget available for such installations: 1 FAIRFAX AND MIAMI ( AL EAU ) Request for installation of one light at corner of Miami Road and Fairfax Drive in Fairfax Estates Addition. 2 IRONWOOD & JEFFERSON INCREASE SIZE QE LIG T Request for additional lighting at Ironwood and Jefferson was investi- gated by Mr. Radecki. It is his opinion that the present lighting is insufficient for this intersection and recommended that a 211,000 lumen type light be installed instead of the present 6,000 lumen light. This request was referred to the Engineering Department for investigation by the Traffic Engineer. INSTAIL TIONS: TRAFFIC SIGNS Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the following installations were approved: 1. Stop Signs - 2 Stop Signs & Posts on St. Joseph Street at Donmoyer. 2. Stop Signs - 2 Stop Signs & Posts on Carroll at Donmoyer. BUILDING DEPARTMENT; SUB -STANDARD DIVISION Comes now Richard Liszewski, Sub --Standard Division Supervisor, with reports on the following sub=standard structures: The property located at 322 S. Laurel Street, scheduled for a hearing on this date owned by Stefe Nagy scheduled for a hearing on this date has been discussed with Mr. Peter Nemeth, attorney for the oimer, who requested a continuance for one week in order to complete investigation. Request granted. Mr. Lisewski reported that property located at 506 27th Street, owned by Mr. Cook is being repaired by Mr. Cook. With reference to property located at 122 E. Ohio Street, Mr. Liszewski reported that the parties of interest are: Roy L. Devoo, Irving Devoo, Charles Devoo, Earl Task and Mrs. E. A. Gordon. Mr. Liszewski also advised the Board that this house is vacant and is in very bad condition and requested permission to advertise for bids for demolition.
