1�.13�J <br />A & J Demolition <br />318 b'!Brien Street $250.00 with salvage <br />South Bend, Indiana 265.00 without salvage <br />It appearing that the bid of A & J Demolition Company is the lowedt <br />and best bid, it is now so awarded to: <br />A & J Demolition Company <br />SUB -STANDARD DIVISION: PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE FOR DEMOLITION BIDS <br />With reference to property located at 1609 Franklin Street, owned by <br />Reverend Thompson, Mr. DuComb advised Mr. Grabarz to contact Reverend <br />Thompson and.advise him that the City will advertise for bids for <br />demolition of this property the week of August 3, 1964. <br />PERMISSION TO ATTEND CONFERENCE: BUILDING DEPARTMENT & SUB -STANDARD <br />Permission was granted to all Inspectors of the Building Department <br />and Sub -Standard Division to attend the INdiana Inspectors' Association <br />Conference on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, August 3, 4 and 5, 1961 <br />at Randall's Inn, subject to the offices of these departments being <br />manned and open. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: TRAFFIC SIGN <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the <br />following installation was approved: <br />Bus Stop installed in front of Plaza Apartments at 628 Western <br />Avenue. <br />STREET LIGHT INSTALLATIONS: ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT <br />Following the recommendation of Eugene Radecki, Electrical Department <br />Superintendent, the folloving installations were approved: <br />6000 lumen light at Olive Street and Prast Blvd. <br />4000 lumen light at the alley of the 900 block of N. Elmer Street <br />4000 lumen light at the alley of 2319 Smith Street. <br />RULING ON STREET LIGHT INSTAISATTIONS <br />By order of the Board, there will be no further street light instllations <br />for a while as the fund is depleted. <br />PETITION: STREET LIGHT INSTALLATIOR ( HUNTLEY COURT - COUNCILMAN SMITH <br />A letter from Councilman Edwin T. Smith, Fifth District, requested the <br />installation of a street light in the Huntly Court - Thornhill Drive <br />area. Councilman Smith explained that this is a new area and that he <br />has had several requests from property owners for a street light installa- <br />tion. <br />Because of the Ruling on the installation of street lights explained <br />above, the Petition was denied. <br />STREET FIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />A Report from the Police Department for the month of June, 1954 was <br />submitted to the Board, accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />
