July 13, 1964 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />July 13, 1964 at 10:00 A.M. Messrs. Robert J. DuComb and James A. <br />Bickel were present. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read <br />and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to the various <br />suppliers. <br />2TTTTnTATFS rw-PAPrm§Fi`TFP• ATTR gTANDARD DIVISION ( HEARING - PEBMISSIME <br />Comes now John Grabarz, Director of Sub -Standard Division of the <br />Building Department with reference t6 property owned by Mr. and Mrs. <br />Lee Fox located at 210 S. Chicago Street. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Fox were granted an extension of time in order to repair <br />or demolish the house. The time allotted has now expired and no action <br />has been taken to repair or demolish. <br />Mr. Grabarz requested permission to advertise for bids to demolish <br />this structure. Request granted by the Board. <br />WEIGHTS & MEASURES ( REPORTS ) <br />The Board accepted a report for the monthcof June, 1964 and an Annual <br />Report, as required by law from the Department of Weights & Measures <br />and ordered same placed on file. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( REPORT) <br />A report for the month of June, 1964 was submitted by the Building <br />Department, accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />ATTEND SEMINAR C FIRE DEPARTMENT - CAPT. D. GALLAGAN) <br />Following the recommendation of Chief McHenry, the Board granted <br />permission for Captain Don Gallagan to attend the Fire Photographic <br />Seminar at the Fire Academy, Chicago, Illinois on July 24, 25 and 26, <br />1964. <br />Following the recommendation of Chief Hampton, the following Police <br />Officers are granted permission to attend Military Training: <br />Officer Richard E. Scott to attend summer camp with Reserve Unit <br />at Tooele) Utah from July 26 to August 9, 1964. <br />Officer James E. Robison to attend summer camp at Tooele, Utah <br />from July-25 to August 8, 1964. <br />APPLICATION• POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />An application for the Police Department from Joseph F. F. Wesley was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER. ( TRAFFIC SIGNS_) <br />Following the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer, the following <br />installations were approved: <br />No Parking signs installed to prohibit parking underneath viaduct <br />in 1100 block Leeper Avenue. <br />RETFASE OF STREET LIGHT PETITIONS (CONTROLLER'S SURVEY) <br />The City Controller, having completed the survey of the Electrical <br />Department budget with reference to available funds for street <br />light installations, so advised the Board. Petitions requesting <br />street light installations will now be referred to the Electrical <br />
