5 <br />December 9;» 1963 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />December 9, 1963•at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes <br />of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were <br />approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT: SUB -STANDARD DIVISION ( HEARINGS <br />Comes now John Brabarz, Sub -Standard Supervisor and James Crawford, <br />owner of property located at 107 O'Brien Street to show cause why <br />property which was condemned on November 8, 1963. <br />Mr. Crawford and his wife requested additional time to bring property <br />up to standard. <br />At the request of Mr. and Mrs. Crawford for additional time, the Board <br />ruled that the case be continued mntil December 30, 1963 at which time <br />the interior will be completed. This extension was satisfactory <br />to Mr. and Mrs. Crawford. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ( STREET LIGHT INSTALLATIONS ) <br />Following the.recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, Electrical Department <br />Superintendent, the following installations were approved: <br />1 = 4000 lumen street light at 1114 S. Fellows Street. <br />1 - 4000 lumen street light at 818 24th Street. <br />1 - 4000 lumen street light at 725 W. LaSalle Avenue. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />RETIREMENTS: POLICE DEPARTMENT HADRICK AND MINNES <br />The Board accepted the requests of the following police officers for- <br />i9tireinent from the Police Department: <br />1. Captain Louis M. Hadrick to be placed on terminal leave starting <br />December 8, 1963 to December 22, 1963 inclusive. On December 23, 1963 <br />to be retired from the Department after 21 years, 9 months with the <br />Department. <br />2. Cpl. L. Minnes requests retirement on December 25, 1963 after 21 <br />years and 8 months with the Department. <br />The Board directed that letters be sent to both officers, thanking.them <br />.for their`1any years of service and wishing them well in future endeavors. <br />APPLI CA 0X6,: �]LI Cam. DEPARTMENT <br />An application f6,x the Police Department from Willie Vinson Green was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />An application from Michael Edward Lewis for the Police Department was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BONDD ZYMSLO <br />A Special Police Bond for Richard J. 7ymsio, employed by The Torrington <br />Company was approved and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />A report from the Police Department for the month of October, 1963 was <br />accepted and ordered place�--file. <br />
