POLICE DEPARTMENT: RETIREMENT-INSP_._RRHUNT )_ <br />At the request of Inspector Russell L. Hunt of the Police Department, <br />the Board accepted his request for retirement, effective December 1, <br />1963. <br />The Board hereby goes on record to congratulate Inspector Hunt for <br />his many years of loyal service to the City and to the Police Department <br />and wish him well. <br />APPLICATION: POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />An application for the Police Department from David John Drajer was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BONDS LPYCLIK AND KONYA - TORRINGTON <br />The Board approved Special'_Police Bonds for Joseph Pyclik and Andrew <br />S. Konya, employed as Special Police by Torrington Company, and ordered <br />same placed on file. <br />REQUEST: MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY FUND DRIVE USE OF FIRE STATIONS <br />The Board granted a request from the Muscular Dystrophy Association <br />to use various Fire Stations as collection points for the kits the <br />M.S. marchers turn in. The Board also approved the request to use <br />fire department personnel who have volunteered to distribute canisters <br />through -out the city and will pick up the canisters around December 1. <br />The Board further approved the use of a police officer to go to the <br />V.F.W. Home on Lincolnway at 11:00 P.M. on November 129 1963 to act as <br />escort when the funds collected on this day which is the day of the <br />Fund Drive are taken to the bank for deposit. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT MONTHLY_ REPORT_) <br />A Report for the month -:of October, 1963 was accepted from the Building <br />Department and ordered placed on file. <br />SUB -STANDARD_ DIVISION ( HEARINGS <br />With reference to property located at 302 S. Liberty Street, a <br />letter from George Sands, attorney, representing Mr. Washington, the <br />owner, to the Board requested a continuance on this hearing until <br />January 7, 1964 in order to give Mr. Washington time to make all <br />necessary repairs, as ordered. <br />Continuance granted until January 7, 1964. <br />With reference to property located at 416 S. Meade Street, owned by <br />Mr. William Cinal, Mr. Grabarz appeared before the Board to advise the <br />Board that repair orders issued almost one year ago have not been <br />completed. <br />Mr. Cinal also appeared and informed the Board that because of the <br />serious illness of his father, he had not had sufficient time to make <br />the repairs. He requested additional time to complete the work. <br />After hearing Mr. Grabarz and Mr. Cinal, the Board ruled that a continuance <br />be granted until December 23, 1963. <br />APPLICATION: FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />An application for the Fire Department from Leo Joseph Ryback, Jr. was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />
