October 14, 1963 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />October 14, 1963 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of <br />the last regular meeting and the special meeting were read and approved. <br />Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENTS SUB -STANDARD DIVISIONLHEARINGS <br />Comes now John Grabarz, Director of the Sub -Standard Division of the <br />Building Department, and advises the Board concerning the following: <br />With reference to property located at 133 E. Indiana Avenue, Mr. Orrie <br />Parker, attorney for the Estate of Caroline Wiltfon% appeared before <br />the Board conberning this property. Mr. Grabarz will confer with Mr. <br />Parker on procedure to be followed and disposition to be made and will <br />report his recommendations to the Board. <br />Mr. Grabarz advised the Board that the structure located at 1605 N. <br />Sheridan Street had been torn down. <br />With reference to property located at 918 N. Brookfield Street, Mr. <br />Grabarz advised the Board that this property has been sold to a Mr. <br />Sandor who will begin repair work on this in one week. <br />PETITION: STREET LIGHTS & DUST CONTROL COLLEGE STREET RESIDENTS) <br />A Petition from residents of College Street requested the installation <br />of street lights on College Street between Hamilton and Bergen Streets. <br />The residents also requested relief from excessive dust on the street. <br />The Board directed that the Petition be referred to Mr. Nicholas <br />Horvath, Superintendent of the Electrical Department, for investigation <br />and recommendation. s; <br />With reference to the dust control, the City Engineer referred this <br />matter to Mr. John Benhart of Clyde E. Williams & Associates, Inc. <br />who is to instruct the residents of procedure to be followed in <br />order to have street oiled. <br />TRAFFTG ENGINEER l TRAFFIC SIGN INSTALLATION <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the <br />following installations were approved: <br />Stop Signs installed on Victoria St., both sides, at Marine Street. <br />Stop Signs installed on Leer Street, both sides, at Victoria Street. <br />Stop Signs installed on High Streit, both sides, at Oakside. <br />Stop Signs installed on High Street, both sides, at Donmoyer. <br />Stop Signs installed on Victoria Street, both sides, at Clyde. <br />Stop Signs installed on Kaley Street, both sides, at Calhoun. <br />St6p Sign: installed on Calhoun Street, southwest corner, at Olive Street. <br />Stop Sign installed on Calhoun Street, northeast corner, at Meade Street. <br />Yield Sign installed on Calhoun Street, southwest corner, at Meade Street. <br />Stop Sign installed on Calhoun Street, northeast corner, at Fremont Street. <br />Yield Sign installed on Calhoun Street, sodthwest�corner, at Fremont Street. <br />No Parking on Sidewalk signs installed in 700 block of Hoose Court. <br />30 Minute Time Limit signs installed at 2105 Miami Street. <br />No Parking Signs installed on 600 block of Jefferson Place, both sides, of Street. <br />PETITION: STREET SIGNS TRAFFIC ENGINEER <br />A Petition from residents on Olive and Keller Streets requesting the <br />installations of a Four -Way Stop Sign at Olive and Keller Streets was <br />referred to the Traffic --Engineer for investigation and recommendation. <br />
