0 1 <br />November 5, 1962 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />November 5, 1962 at 10:00 A:M. All members were present. Minutes <br />of the last regular meeting were readand approved. Vouchers were <br />approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />APPROVAL OF FIRE STATION SITE ( CITY PLAN <br />Under date of November 1, 1962 the City Planning Commission recommended <br />the proposed fire station site at the corner of Ireland Road and <br />Lafayette Boulevard. <br />Clem Hazinski9 Traffic Engineer$ submitted a report with reference to <br />the New York Central railroad tracks on W. Washington Avenue, just <br />east of College. Mr. Hazinski reported that these tracks in the 1800 <br />block of W..Washingt'on Avenue had been repaired to the satisfaction <br />of his department as of October 31, 1962. The New York Central <br />Railroad is also reducing the super elevation on the north set of <br />tracks at the intersections with Robinson, Caroline, Twyckenhamt Vernon <br />and Leer. This repair will eliminate the ramaining "saw -tooth" effect <br />of the crossings. This work will be completed in a couple of weeks. <br />TRAFFIC ENG N E„CLTRAFFIC SIGNS), <br />Followin�e"commendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the <br />following installations were approved: <br />Stop Sign installed on Keifer St., northeast corner, at Sheridan <br />Avenue <br />Yield Sign installed at Woodside, southwest corner, at Donmoyer <br />Avenue. <br />2 - 2 Hour time limit signs installed at 2206 S. Main Street. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ( INSTALLATIONS <br />Following the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, the following <br />installations were approved: <br />1 <br />- 4000 <br />lumen <br />street <br />light <br />at <br />1 <br />- 4000 <br />lumen <br />street <br />light <br />at <br />1 <br />- 4000 <br />lumen <br />street <br />light <br />at <br />2 <br />- 4000 <br />lumen <br />street <br />lights <br />at <br />on Portage <br />Ave. <br />1 - <br />4000 <br />lumen <br />street <br />light <br />at <br />4730 W. Parkway <br />530 S. 26th St. <br />533 S. Dundee St. <br />Hartman Addition entrance <br />3521 Whitcomb Ave. <br />EbECTRICAL DEPARTMENT - PETITIONS STREET LIGHTS ) <br />The following Petitions for street light installations were referred <br />to the Electrical Department for investigation and recommendation: <br />1 - Street light in the 3100 block area of Chelsea Court. <br />2.--Street light on South Chapin Street between Dubail and <br />Bruce Street. <br />WEIGHTS 8 MEASURES -MONTHLY REPORT <br />A Report for the month of October from the Department of Weights and <br />Measures was^accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />APPLICATIONS ( POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />The following applications for the <br />ordered placed on file: David Lee <br />Police Department were accepted and <br />Dabros, Donald Earl Baum. <br />APPLICATION ( AUXILIARY SCHOOL PATROL ) <br />An application for the Auxiliary School Patrol from Mrs. Jacqueline <br />Mae Parker was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />
