Waechter to the rank of Lieutenant <br />FIRE CHIEF - ATTEND MEETING'.'. <br />Fire Chief Andrzejewski was granted permission to attend a meeting <br />in Indianapolis on October 31, 1962. <br />ATTEND NATIONAL SAFEZY COUNCIL _CONMESS ( SGf. MILLER ) <br />Permission was .granted Sgt. Robert Miller, of Traffic Safety Council, <br />to attend the National Safety Council Congress in Chicago from October <br />30 to November 2, 1962. Transportation and expenses will be charged to <br />the Traffic Commission Budget. <br />RE: NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD - TRAFFIC ENGINEER <br />A progress report on the New York Central Railroad spur tracks on <br />W. Washington Avenue was given by Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer. <br />Mr. Hazinski reported that as the result of a telephone call to Mr. <br />W. Barthlein, Division Engineer of New York Central Railroad on October <br />26, 1962, Mr. Barthlein had promised that this crossing will be repaired <br />by removing ties and tracks in these sections and to replace properly. <br />This work is to be completed by an application of black top to make for <br />a smooth crossing. He further stated that this work should be finished <br />within two weeks, depending on weather conditions. <br />Mr. Hazinski submitted a confirmation letter from Mr. Baerthlein and <br />promised to follow through on this program and report findings to the <br />Board. <br />PETITIONS: STREET LIGHTS <br />The following Petitions for street lights were referred to the Electrical <br />Department for investigation and recommendation: <br />Street Light bwtween the 500 and 600 block of S. 26th Street. <br />Street Light on Parkway <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />
