Mrs. Breckenridge <br />informed the Board that her brother is tearing house down but that <br />she will need more time so that the work can be completed. <br />It was the decision of the Board to continue this until July 2, 1962 <br />at which date complete demolition should be accomplished. <br />Mr. John Jerkins appeared before the Board with reference to property <br />located at 1147 N. Johnson Street. The structure has now been <br />demolished but the premises -has not been cleaned up. <br />After hearing Mr. -Jerkins and Mr. Grabarz concerning this:property, <br />it was the decision of the Board to continue this hearing -for -three <br />weeks, or until May 28, 1962. <br />Mrs. Lottie King, owner of property located at 234 E. Sample Street, <br />appeared before the Board, as requested. Since she had not complied <br />with the previous order of the Board concerning procurement of <br />contracts to bring property up to standard, the hearing was continued <br />for one week at which time Mrs. King was directed to appear with <br />contractor. <br />Comes now Keith Proud, owner of property tosated at 521'Lincolnway <br />West. The structute, a garage type building, is inanunsafe <br />condition. It was the opinion of the Sub -Standard Division that <br />this structure should be torn down immediately. <br />After hearing Mr. Proud and Mr. Grabarz, it was the decision of the <br />Board that Mr. Proud be given until June 11, 1962 to have property <br />cleaned up. <br />REQUEST: POLICE SHDW <br />Permission was granted to the Police Ch*f to Uld the annual Police <br />Show on July lb, li and 12, 1962. <br />ATTEND SAFETY SEMINAR ( SGT. ROBERT MILLER) <br />Permission was granted Sgt. Robert biller to attend a Safety Semite <br />sponsored by the Indiana Traffic Safety Foundation and Governor Welch <br />on Citizens Safety groups and ways and means to combat accidents and <br />support traffic legislation. This meeting will be held in Indianapolis <br />on May 9, 1962 at the Indianapolis Athletic Club. <br />ATTEND ANNUAL SUMNER TRAINING ( OFFICER JAMES E. ROBISON) <br />Permission was granted Officer James E. Robison to attend annual summer <br />training with the 273rd TC DS from May 19 to June 31, 1962. <br />PETITION ( STREET LIGHTS) <br />A Petition.from residents in Calvert Street area for a street light <br />on Calvert Street between High and Dale between alleyp and onq #treet <br />light between Dale and Miami near alley. Also improve existing street <br />lights with new fixtures on old poles, wherever possible, on both sides <br />of Calvert Street between High and Miami. <br />The Petition was referred to the glectrical Department Superintendent <br />for investigation and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />
