35 <br />May 79 1962 <br />X'Tegu ar ®ietih§ .of _"tRetPoard of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />May 7t 1962 at 10:00 A.M. DST.. All members were present. Minutes <br />of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were <br />approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. . <br />Comes now Officer Ernest Rice before the Board to answer to a charge <br />filed against him on May 49 1962. Said Ernest Rice submits that <br />he was served with copy of said charge on May 49 1962 by Lt. Richard <br />E. Bauer. <br />Said charge, having. been read.,to Officer Ernest Rice, said Ernest <br />Rice admits to violation of Regulation 12 of the Rules and Regulations <br />of the.Poli,ce Department of South Bend, <br />The Board, having received admission to charge# will take matter under <br />advisement and findings will be made not later than May 14j, 1962. <br />OPENING OF BIDS ( POLICE DEPARTMENT CARS ) <br />The time now being after_10:00 A.M. it was so announced and bids for <br />the 11 vehicles for the Police Department were opened and read aloud. <br />Proofs of Publication from The South Bend Tribune with affidavit signed <br />by Robert DeLong and The Record with affidavit signed,by Kathleen <br />Sweitzer were found sufficient. <br />The following bids were received: <br />Freeman -Spicer Co..
