PARENT, Mayor <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 <br />August 20, 1980 <br />the Common Council <br />County -City Building <br />Indiana 46601 <br />Dear Members of the Council: <br />219/284 -9742 <br />The attached resolution would permit the Board of Public <br />Works to transfer ownership of our lot at 2222 Lincolnway <br />West. <br />The buyer for the property is Youth Facilities, Inc., a non- <br />profit organization that is assisting the City in the relocation <br />of the Youth Services Bureau. The $20,000.00 purchase price <br />will be combined with a federal LEAA grant in a like amount. <br />This money will be used to renovate the old fire station lo- <br />cated at this address. <br />The Board of Public Works has already accepted bids for the <br />renovation of this property in anticipation of favorable action <br />by the Common Council. <br />After the $20,000.00 purchase price is repaid to Youth Facilities, <br />Inc., by the City, the property will revert back to the Board <br />of Public Works. <br />Your favorable consideration is greatly appreciated.
