Daren <br />Assistant Director <br />The Mental Health Association fo Saint Joseph County, Inc., <br />has requested a Non- Profit Group Rehabilitation Grant to <br />support the cost of repairs and improvements on Metcalfe <br />Halfway House located at 1217 S. Michigan. The Bureau <br />estimates the cost of repairs to be $14,953.96. <br />Advisory Board "B" of the Bureau of Housing and the <br />Redevelopment Commission recommends that the Mental Health <br />Association be awarded a Non - Profit Group Rehabilitation <br />Grant in the amount of $10,000.00 for the Metcalfe House. <br />Common Council concurrence is requested. <br />As the cost of rehabilitation exceeds the Non - Profit Grant <br />limit, The Mental Health Association will assume responsibility <br />for any and all costs incurred over the $10,000.00 figure. <br />The Metcalfe House represents the first Non - Profit Group <br />Grant given to a congregate home.
