City Controller Gregg Zientara presented Bill Nos. 63-09 and 64-09. Bill 63-09 dealt with
Teamster represented employees. After brief comment Councilmember White moved for a
favorable recommendation. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded. There was no dissent. Bill
NO. 64-09 dealing with non-bargaining employees was presented by the Mayor who noted the
creation of a new position for Energy Consumption Oversight. This "green" position would be
funded by federal dollars for 2 years then hopefully be self-funded from found savings. Again
following brief comment Councilmember Oliver Davis moved the bill go to Council favorably.
Councilmember Varner seconded. All complied. Bill Nos. 65-09; 66-09 and 67-09 pertaining to
salaries of elected officials all were sent to full Council favorably having gotten motions to do so
by Councilmember White. Council Member Oliver Davis, seconded the motion and agreement by
all. Each bill reflected a 0% salary increase for 2010.
There being no further business to come before the Committee at this time, Chairperson
LaFountain, adjourned the meeting at 4:33 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
(J`"`~ -
Tom LaFountain., Chairperson
Personnel and Finance Committee
