Broden <br />4th District Council Member <br />Public Works & Property Vacation, Chairperson <br />• Smart Streets Briefing <br />• Public Works Infrastructure Improvements Briefing <br />• Tours of all Public Works Facility and Water Works facilities in light of <br />requests for utility fee increases <br />• Addressing Sidewalk Accessibility near Sidewalk Cafes <br />• Sidewalk and street improvements throughout downtown Smart Streets, Safe <br />Routes to School corridors (Perley, Edison, Harrison and others), and to <br />Corby Blvd. <br />• Service on MACOG Board, by PW & PV Chairperson Jo Broden, resulting in <br />the approval of an Active Transportation Plan. <br />• ADA compliance of ramps throughout Westside Main Streets improvements <br />• TRANSPO Briefing <br />• Board Chairperson participation in 2017 Teamster Labor Negotiations which <br />resulted in the formulation of an agreement that received overwhelming <br />support from the Teamsters, and was heralded as the most responsive and <br />respectable negotiations since 1995 by Jim Szuc, Business Agent of the <br />Teamsters Local 4364. <br />For 2017, the Public Works & Property Vacation Committee intends to focus several priorities, <br />including: Smart Street implementation, neighborhood sidewalks and curbs, and Public Works <br />infrastructure upgrades. <br />Throughout my first year on Council, it has been a pleasure to work with the all of the persons <br />who work in the Department of Public Works, and in particular all of the individuals who <br />provide the detailed information which is reviewed by the Council's Public Works & Property <br />Committee.
