Because the surfaces to be disturbed are presumed to be Lead <br />Based Paint, safe work practices will be requested when windows are being replaced. Replacements of sashes are to be performed from the exterior of home <br />if possible while having the interior sealed from possible dust infiltration. Install new thermo-pane <br />windows units with full screens and divided light grills as replacements for existing units .Prepare window <br />openings for installation; fill voids with fiberglass insulation, and seal to prevent drafts. Do not disturb <br />existing interior trim, apply an interior stop if needed, and wrap exterior frames on all replacement <br />windows with .019 ga. white aluminum. All aluminum wrap installations shall be free of waves having all <br />edges and seams sealed with a matching minimum 20 year silicon caulking.
