Newman Center: Masonry Repair
SB Project No. 116-132
2. Let the application dwell 15 to 60 minutes or until coating lifts or shows signs of dissolving.
Periodic agitation with a stiff bristle brush improves penetration. Some coatings will need
multiple applications or increased dwell time.
3. Working from the bottom to the top, remove stripper and residue with pressure water rinse.
The best combination of rinsing pressure and water volume is provided by washing
equipment generating 400 to 1000 psi with a water flow rate of 6 to 8 gallons per minute
delivered through a 15 to 45 degree fan spray tip.
3.6 FINAL CLEANING
A. Clean adjacent surfaces of any spillage and debris. Use detergent and soft brushes or cloth.
B. Remove debris from gutters, collection boxes, and downspouts. Rinse off roof and flush gutters
and downspouts with water.
C. Remove masking materials, leaving no residue.
END SECTION
cLEnNiNa
