Fact Sheet <br />• Toter® introduced its first product, an automated curbside cart system, to North America in the late 1960s. <br />Since then, the brand has grown to multiple plastic product lines —wheeled carts, stationary carts, front <br />load containers, composters, tilt trucks and more. Today, Toter is the top selling cart brand utilized for the <br />curbside collection of waste, recycling and organics. <br />• Recognized throughout the industry as The World's Toughest Carts-, Toter carts are produced <br />using a patented, stress -free molding technology known as Advanced Rotational Molding-. This <br />manufacturing process results in tougher, more durable carts. <br />• Toter operates manufacturing and distribution operations in Statesville, NC; Salt Lake City, Utah; Del Rio, <br />Texas and Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico. <br />• Toter is a Wastequip® brand. Based in Charlotte, N.C., Wastequip employs more than 1,600 associates <br />across 33 locations, including operations in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. <br />Statesville, North Carolina <br />• The Statesville facility opened in 1962 and serves as Toter's headquarters. With 110,000 square <br />feet of manufacturing and distribution space, it employs 131 associates. <br />Salt Lake City, Utah <br />• The Salt Lake City Toter facility, at 60,000 square feet, began production in July 2014. <br />Through 2017, the manufacturer will bring nearly 70 new jobs to the Salt Lake City region. <br />Del Rio, Texas <br />• The Del Rio facility opened in 2005. With 108,000 square feet of manufacturing and distribution <br />space, it typically employs 80 associates. <br />Cuidad Acuea,Mesico <br />As Toter's largest facility, with 131,500 square feet, the Acuna facility employs about 560 <br />people.
