REGULAR MEETING <br />December 12, 2016 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met in the <br />Council Chambers of the County -City Building on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. <br />The meeting was called to order by Council President Tim Scott and the Invocation by Reverend <br />Rick Jackson of the Olivet African Methodist Episcopal Church and Pledge to the Flag was <br />given. <br />ROLL CALL <br />COUNCIL MEMBERS: <br />Tim Scott <br />Regina Williams- Preston <br />Randy Kelly <br />Josephine Broden <br />Dr. David Varner <br />Oliver J. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded <br />the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />Councilmember Tim Scott announced that the Historic Preservation Commission's appeal <br />process would be continued until January 23, 2017; Bill No. 66 -16 on water rates is continued to <br />January 9th, 2017; Bill No. 16 -85 Portage Prairie, Bill No. 16 -89 Coveleski project, and Bill No. <br />16 -90 Councilmember Oliver Davis' resolution on neighborhood plans are all set for January <br />2017 as well. <br />Councilmember Scott announced that members of Boy Scout Troop 111 were present, asking <br />them to please stand. <br />BILL NO. <br />16 -92 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />PUBLICLY CONGRATULATING AND <br />APPLAUDING ACTOR AND PERFORMER RJ <br />
