33.E <br />April 29, 1968. <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety met at 10:00 A:M. on <br />April 29, 1968, with Arthur W. Frisk and Lloyd S. Taylor present. <br />RESIGNATION FROM POLICE DEPARTMENT - KEITH L. FRY <br />The resignation of Keith L. Fry from the Police Department on 4/26/68 was <br />accepted'lby­the Board. Police Officer Fry stating that he was "unsatisfied <br />with the work." <br />SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS - APPOINTMENTS <br />Certificate of appointment of Fire Chief McHenry as a special police officer <br />for the South Bend Fire Department was filed. <br />Applications for special police officers by Frank Jankowski and Neal L. Hans, <br />as employees of the City Court, were approved by the Board. <br />TRAFFIC SIGN CHANGES <br />Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, reports to the Board that the Traffic <br />Engineering Department has replaced the present two-hour limit signs on <br />the south side of Mishawaka Avenue, from 3602 to 3612, to thirty -minute <br />limits. <br />The recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department that the"four-way <br />stop" ait Northside Boulevard and East Sample Street be changed to "two-way <br />stop," with Northside being a preverential Street, was approved by the Board. <br />The Traffic Engineering Department stating that the use of Northside <br />Boulevard should be encouraged since travel across the St. Joseph River has <br />been provided by the Cooper Bridge. <br />CANCELLATION OF BOND AS SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER - ROBERT RANDEL HENRY <br />Robert Randel Henry having returned Special Police Badge (No. 536) and resigned <br />as special police officer, his bond, at the request of Wilkinson Insurance <br />Agency, cancelled by the Board. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS - for the period 4/18/68 to 4/25/68 were filed <br />There being no further business to come before he Board, the meeting ad- <br />journed at 11:30 A.M. <br />Arthur W.,,?r i sk <br />AT - le <br />Lloyd Taylor <br />Clerk <br />(I <br />a <br />1 <br />1 <br />
