Monroe Street, South Bend, Indiana, and Keith Cramer, <br />1410 E. Donald Street, South Bend, Indiana, having filed their applications <br />for appointment to the South Bend Fire Department and having passed all <br />physical requirements for appointment and having been approved by the <br />Firemen's Pension Board, the said John Nelson and Keith Cramer are hereby <br />appointed to the South BendFire Department , effective January 1, 1968. <br />e 8 <br />- REQUEST FROM POLICE DEPARTMENT TO SEND CAPT. PAUL NESTER STACHOWICZ TO <br />FBI SESSION <br />Letter from Chief of Police McNaughton dated 1/2/68 to the Board of <br />Public Works and Safety requesting approval for Captain Nester Paul <br />Stachowicz to attend the 81st Session of the FBI National Academy for a <br />period of 12 weeks at the invitation of the United States Department of <br />C-) Justice, was read and on motion duly made, seconded and carried, <br />approval was granted, and the clerk was ordered to send a photostat of <br />such approval to Chief of Police McNaughton. <br />SPECIAL POLICE.- RECOMMENDATION - VANDERHEYDEN AND FRICK <br />Recommendations were submitted for the appointment of Leo A. VanderHeyden, <br />206 Gernhard, Mishawaka, Indiana, as special police officer fmr Asspciates Invest- <br />ment Company; and -of Iden L. Frick, 906 E. Victoria Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, as special police officer for Fabricated Steel Products. <br />No bonds were submitted with the recommendations; and were therefore <br />approved subject to bonds being submitted to the Board of Public Works and <br />Safety as provided by statute. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports for the week were accepted and ordered filed. <br />Attest: <br />Doris Allen, Clerk <br />0 <br />Arthur W.
