M. with all members present.- The minutes of the previous meeting were read <br />and approved. <br />C_APT EUQENE R. BER NAU- RETIREMENT <br />Chief of Police Thomas McNaughton submitted the following report: <br />Captain Eugene R. Bergman of the South Bend Police Department, having this <br />date submitted his request for retirement from the Police Department after having <br />completed twenty years of active service on October 14, 1967, same is hereby <br />unanimously approved by the -Board offPublic Works effective October 14, 1967. <br />-REQUEST - SEND POLICE SERGEANTS TO SEMINAR <br />Chief.of Police Thomas McNaughton requested permission to send Sergeants Emery Molnar, <br />Frederic Odusch, Don. M.,Niezgodski,'and Edward I. Friend to the Homicide Seminar to be <br />held at the University of Cincinnati from November 13, 1967 to November 18, 1967. <br />The Board 'approved the request. <br />SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER APPLICATIONS <br />Special police applications were approved for Tonna Miller for Robertson's Department <br />Store and for Maria Van Kirk for Gilbert's Clothing Store. <br />SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER BONDS <br />Bonds for special police officers for John S. Antowick, John M. Sxakany, Edmund J. <br />Hosinski, George H. Klowetter and Joseph Torzewski were approved bjy�Uae Board of <br />Works. <br />POLICE DEPA.RDIIENT APPLICATION <br />An application for the police depaatment was filed by Donald Earl Balsley. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />The Street light outage reports for the week were filed by the Board. <br />t <br />ATTEST: RIC J.
