September 25, 1967 <br />1 <br />I <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was called to order at <br />10:00 A. M. with members James A. Bickel and Lloyd S. Taylor present. The minutes <br />of the previous meeting were read and approved. <br />RECCIVENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF BID OF MOTOROLA FOR FOUR NEW RADIOS <br />Police Chief McNaughton recommended that the bid of the Motorola Corp''orat on <br />for four new portable radios be accepted. The bid met all the requirements set <br />forth in the specifications. <br />The bid. was signed by the Board in the amount of $2,503.20. <br />REQUEST FOR FUNDS <br />Police Chief McNaughton requested a fund transfer in the amount of $30.00 from P-213 <br />Traveleing Expenses to P-211, Freight, Express and Drayage.. <br />Resolution #14: It was unanimously passed by the Board that the sum of $30.00 be <br />transferred from P-213 Traveling Expenses to P-211, Freight, Express and Drayage. <br />REQUEST FOR FUNDS <br />Police Chief Thomas H. McNaughton requested a fund transfer in the amount of <br />$100.00 from P-11 Services Personal to P-264, Veterinarian. <br />This request was referred to Mr. R. J. DuComb for -the preparation of an <br />ordinance for such transfer. <br />RF UEST FOR PERMISSION TO SEND CAPTAINS AND:SERGEANT TO SCHOOL IN VIRGINIA <br />Police Chief McNaughton requested permission to send Captains William Bush, <br />Nester Stachowicz, Marvin Schindler and Sergeant Harold McMichael to the <br />United States Army MiLitary Police Corps mob and riot control demonstration at <br />For Belvoir, Virginia on October 4, 1967. <br />The Board approved the request. <br />BOND APPROVED <br />A special policeman's bond was approved for John Keresztury and filed by the Board. <br />POLICE DEPARUTNT APPLICATIONS <br />Police Department applications were filed for Jerry Wayne Reed of 901 North College <br />Street and Thomas Lee Haluda of 836 1South Pulaski Street. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />The street light outage reports for the week were filed by the Board. <br />There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. <br />R obert_`:J .
