,.2 <br />September 18, 1967 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to order at 10:00 A. M. <br />with members James A. Bickel and Lloyd S. Taylor present. The minutes of the premious <br />meeting were read and approved. <br />P-IP9-FAA-FBUR POLICE RADIOS• <br />After the clerk read proof of publication from the South Bend Tribune with affidavit <br />signed by Robert DeLong and from the Tri-County News with Affidavit signed by Alfred <br />Snyder II, the following bids were ppened for four police radios: <br />Motorola C & E Inc 6501 Ul Augusta Blvd Chicago, Illinois 60651 <br />4 H23DEN 1100 Handie Talkie with Ni-Cad batter, Charger, Ant, Carrying Case <br />and Cover @ $625.80 $2,503.20 <br />Non -collusion affidavit signed by Jerry Wilson <br />Bid bond in the amount of $300.00 signed by Robert N Swift, Vice President. <br />General Electric C2MUZ 2Z50 No Meridian Street R000m 107 Indiana olis Indiana <br />4 General Electric Type PN-16-LBS-66 Pocket Mate Portable Radios complete with <br />two frequency transmit, Nicad Rechargeable Batteries, Carrying Cases and <br />Chargers @ $707.00 $2,828.00 <br />Non -collusion affidavit signed by D. E. King <br />Bid bond in the amount of $300.00 signed by D. E. King <br />The preceding bids will be taken under advisement and the awarding bid will be made <br />at the next meeting of the Board. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS: <br />The street light outage regprto, -Ver the week were filed by the Board. <br />PRCMOTION OF PATROLZAAN MARTIN STORM <br />Chief Thomas H. McNaughton requested permission to promote Patrolman Martin Storm to 'L <br />the rank of Sergeant. The Board voted unanimously by resolution to approve the <br />promotion, retroactive to September 16, 1967.? <br />There being no further business, the meeting was <br />ad j o d t Y: 30 AE'��,- <br />September 18, 1967 <br />FIRE DEPARrD ENT APPLICATION <br />An application for the fire department from Dennis Theodore Heckman was Ailed by the <br />Board. <br />POLICE DEPA42,4ENT APPLICATIDONS <br />Police Department applications were accepted from Jack Raymond Reed of 2717 So. Main St. <br />and Johh Richard Woods of 4033 Coral Drive. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />The Police Department report for the mono of August 1967 was filed by the Board. <br />U CHA.IRMAN <br />1 <br />
