3 <br />July 3, 1967 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was called to <br />order with all members present. The minutes of the previous meeting were <br />read and approved. <br />REQUEST BID FOR FIRE STATION <br />A request tor;permlisioiiotor.�ad--ertise for bids for the new fire station on East <br />Marion Street was submitted by Mr. Taylor. The advertisement will appear in <br />the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News on 7th and 14th of July and bids <br />will be publicly opened on the 24th day of July, 1967 in the Council Chambers. <br />REQUEST --To ATTEND ARMY-�N R;nR�r <br />Chief Cecil McHaary submitted a request to which was attached a request from the <br />army for a m,s m miny rt fireman Frank J. Ballatore to report for <br />active duty from July 9 through July 22, 1967. <br />Request was approved. <br />3 SPECIAL POLICE BOND - EUGM ZM ER <br />application <br />A special police hmd was approved for Eugene Zimmer. <br />STREET LIGHT REMOVAL APPROVED - N WQUADRANT OF MAIN AND WASHINGTON STREETS <br />Mr. Clem Hazinski submitted a request for a street light removal at the N. W. <br />quadrant of Main and Washinton Street because of the construction of the <br />new building. <br />This includes the W. S. light in the 100 block of N. Main Street, the N. S. <br />lightsin the 200 block of West Washington. <br />The preceding was approved by the Board. <br />APPLICATIONS: POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Applications for the Police Department were filed for Phillip Guy Herring and <br />Michael Joseph Thilman. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports were filed for the week. <br />There being no further business the meeting as adjourned. <br />CHAIRMAN <br />AT ST: RdCDJ.
