These meters were formerly required by the
South Bend Clinic which has moved.
Same was approved.
REPORT ON SOUTHMORE MUTUAL HOUSING CORD PETITION FOR PARKING REMOVAL
A request from Mr. Slayton of the Southmore Mutual Housing Corp. to remove
parking on one side of the street in the project has been answered with the
following report and approved by the Board:
Mr. Slayton was personally contacted on October 20th. His request for parking
removal was based upon present difficulties; inability for fire fighting equipment
to get through, the conjection caused by cars parked on both sides, and youngsters d
darting between the cars.
The Street width varies from 24 to 2511feet. After driving the project, we would
recommend that we remove parking on the "inside" of the project streets. This
would remove parking adjacent to the play areas. a 16' driving area would remain
with parking on one side.
This report was submitted by Clem F. Hazinski, Traffic Director.
REPORT ON CURB CUT ON MIAMI ST FOR RALPH C. KINYON
Mr. Clem Hazinski submitted the following report on a request for curb cut from
Ralph C. Kinyon, Miami Florist, filed on October 10, 1966
After an investigation of the area and conversations with Mr. Kinyon, it is the
opinion of this department that this request be denied. The maximum size drive
allowed in 30 feet. The 25' addition to Mr. Kinyon's drive would give him a
60' ramp.
Mr. Kinyon decided to forstall reconstructing his drive until next Spring. This,
he felt, would give him more time to stdoy the traffic movement around the store.
The preceding report was filed.
AICATION - POLICE DEPARTMENT
An application for the police department from Gordon Lee Weiler was ordered filed
by the Board.
