2 1 e �. <br />October 10, 1966 <br />The regular -meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was called to order <br />at 10:00 A. M. with all members present. The minutes of the previous meeting <br />were re -ad and approved. <br />PROMOTION OF FIREMEN ALVIN WROBLEWSKI <br />Fire Chief McHenry having this date recommended to the Board of Public Safety <br />the promotion of Fireman Alvin Wroblewski to the rank of Lieutenant and the <br />Board being duly advised on the premises now does order the promotion of <br />Alvin Wroblewski to the rank of lieutenant in the South Bend Fire Department <br />effective October 15, 1966. <br />TRAFFICE REPORT - CLEM HAZINSKI <br />Traffic Director, Clem Haznski requested that the following be added to the <br />minutes of today: <br />NO LEFT TURN INTO PARKING LOT sign on L.P. on the East side of <br />Michigan Street of Washington. <br />No. Left Turn 3PM - 6 PM on Lincoln Way East at approach to Sample St. <br />ca0 <br />The preceding were approved by the Board. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT APPLICATIONS <br />The following applications for the police department were approved and put on <br />file: Calvin LeRoy Linderman, George Byron Radanovich, Willie Pates. . <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT - APPLICATIONS <br />The following applications for the fire department were approved and ordered put <br />on file: James Michael Dembinski, Richard Carl Lentz , and Eugene Donald <br />Turczynski. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />The Street light outage reports for the week were approved and ordered filed. <br />STREET LIGHT PETITIONS DENIED• <br />The following street light petition were denied by the Board because of lack of <br />funds at the present time: <br />The alley next to 1007 St. Louis Blvd., one half block south of St. Vincent St. <br />The first alley north of Sample Street was re=denied. <br />The north alley at 425 No. Walsh Street. <br />The southeast corner of Columbia and Dayton Streets. <br />Street light at the southwest corner of Bendix and Keller Streets at the <br />M:..R./Falcon Club. <br />The Secretary was instructed to write letters to the head name on the.petition <br />informing these people of the decision of the Board. <br />STREET LIGHT PETITION APPROVED <br />A.petition for a street light in the 500 & 600 block of South Albert Street <br />was approved by the Board. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:00 A.
