211 <br />beats and the Board being duly advised, now grants permission for the police de- <br />partment to use the new Walkie Talkie Radios and:di,scontinue the call, boxes <br />effective October 31, 1966 and to notify the Indiana Bell Telephone Company of <br />such action, and their sertice is no longer required. <br />LORENEO HILL HEARING <br />On behalf of his client, Officer Lorenzo Hill, Patrick Brennan has requested that <br />this hearing be postponed until October 24 at 3:30 P. M. until he has had adequate <br />time to prepare case for officer Lorenzo Dill who has been suspended by Police <br />Department for charges on file with the Board of Works and Safety. <br />Postponement of hearing is hereby granted and hearing is set for October 24 at <br />3:30 P. M. in the conference room. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT - DEMOTION OF BANACH <br />Cecil McHenry having this date requested the demotion of Lieutenant Robert Banach <br />from the rank of Lieutenant to Private bacause of his prolonged illness in the <br />hospital, and it being necessary to fill his office, same :is hereby granted <br />effective this date. <br />ATREET LIGHT PETITION - LIBERTY STREET <br />O� <br />A street light petition signed by numerous citizens in the vicinity of 430.or <br />434 Liberty Street was filed by the Board and referred to the Engineering <br />Department for study and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT PETITION- 1900-2000 LBOCK OF NORTH OLIVE ST._ <br />Street light petition signed by several residents in the 1900-2000 block of <br />North Olive Street was filed by the Board and referred to the Engineering Dept. <br />for study and recommendation. <br />CLEM HAZINSKI-TRAFFIC SIGNS <br />Mr. Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director, asked that the following signs be added to <br />the minutes of this meeting: <br />1. 6 no Parking sigs (6AM - 6 PM) Mon. thru Friday, Sat. & Sun. Permitted <br />signs on the west side of Olive. This is the 100-200-300 block of <br />So. Olive St. Remove present N.P.T.S. signs. <br />2. STOP signs& post on Grove at Sussex. <br />3. STOP signs on Grove Street at Canterbury. <br />4. STOH signs at Maple Lane School at the interesection of Rose and <br />Northern Avenue. <br />5. STOP sign & post on Scottswood at Twyckenham. <br />6. ONE HOUR PARKING signs at 1142 W. Washington on existing post. <br />POLICE APPLICATIONS <br />Thomas Leslie Gargis andJerry John VanDeWielle submitted applications for the <br />police department which were ordered filed by the Board. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />The street light outage reports were approved and ordered filed by the Board. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BONDS <br />The following special police bonds were approved and ordered filed by the Board: <br />George Doy, J. Charles Datrieux and Russell A. Jester. <br />
