1 <br />r� <br />September 19, 1966 <br />A short business.meeting was held to take care of the necessary business at <br />hand. Members present were Mr. Lloyd Taylor and Mr. James A. Bickel. <br />PERMISSION TO ADU'ERTISE fOR CAR POLICE DEPARWNT <br />The Police Department was given permission to advertise for a new 1967 four <br />door sedan with a 1966 Plymouth four door sedarn to be offered as trade in. <br />This will be advertise on September 23 and September 30 and bids willbe accepted <br />on October 3, 1966. <br />SIGNS - CLEM HAZINSKI - TRAFFIC CONTROL.: <br />Mr. Elem Hazinski, Traffic Director asked that -the following signs be recorded <br />in the record and added to the minutes of the meeting: <br />NO PARKING SIGN at a point 50 ft. east of Leland on the south side of <br />Riverside. <br />NO PARKING THIS SIDE on west side of Riverside Dr. from California Ave. <br />"30" STOP SIGN & POST at N. W. corner of California & Riverside. <br />STREET LIGHT PETITION - 900 BLOCK 21st Street <br />A group of residents.signed a petition to have a street light installed at the <br />intersection of the east west alley in the 900 block of 21st Street. The Board <br />referred the Petition to the Engineer's office for study and recommendation. <br />REQUEST - SOUTHMORE MUTUAL HOUSING CORP <br />A letter from the Southmore Mutual Housing corporation requesting that a study <br />be made as to feasability of erecting "No Parking This aide of Street" sigs on <br />the following streets: East Klinger Street, South Wise Circle, South Langley <br />Drive, South Montgolfier Place and East Southmore Drive was received by the <br />Board. They also stated in their request that tohave such signs erected has been <br />expressed by the Fire Department thereby aleviating congestion of the streets and <br />lessening the danger to youngsters. <br />The letter was referred to Mr. Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director. <br />PETITION: TH(1V[AS JEFFERSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AREA <br />Two petitions signed by residents of the vicinyty of the Thomas JgffersonSchoo� <br />area concerned with the condition and regulation of traffic on Eddy Street from <br />Bronson Street to Sunnymede Avenue were receiaed and read as follows: <br />The request that an electric traffic control signal be installed at <br />the intersection of Eddy Street and Sunnymede Avenue, South Bend. This <br />petition was signed by 240 persons. <br />The request that the speed limin on Eddy Street, from Bronson Street to <br />Sunlymede Avenue be established at twenty miles per hour. This petition was <br />signed by 245 persons. <br />The preceding request was referred Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director. <br />
