February 28, 1966 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />February 28, 1966 at 10:20 A. M. Messrs, Robert J. DuComb and James <br />A. Bickel were Ares ent. Assistant City Engineer, Ray Andrysiak also <br />attended. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. <br />PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE - SUB -STANDARD DIVISION - DEMOLITION <br />Richard Liszewski, Director of the Sub -Standard Division of the Building <br />Department appeared before the Board to request permission to ddvertise <br />for bids for demolition for the following sub -standard dwellings; <br />Property located at 715 South Meade, owned by Wm. L. Shepherd. Permission <br />granted to advertise for demolition. <br />Property located at 317 No. Cushing, accessory building, owned by Victor and <br />Bessie DeVreese, permission granted to advertise for demol ti6n. <br />Property located at 1521 Liston St. owned by Victor and Bessie DeVreese <br />pxxekK&xkXxWxNxa aa:� permission granted to advertise for demolition. <br />Property located at 102 No. Adams St. formerly owned by Victor and Bessie <br />DeVreese, purchased by Wayne Nicklas,.permission granted to advertise for <br />demolition. <br />Property located at 1513 and 1515 Pennsylvania Avenue, owned by Pearl Irene <br />Darr. Mrs. Darr objected but was overruled. <br />Permission granted to advertise for demolition. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT_- SUB STANDARD DIVISION - OPENING BID FOR DEMOLITION <br />Richard Liszewski, Sub -Standard Division Director appeared with sdaled bids <br />for the demolition of the following properties: <br />Property located at 1612 South Meade St., owned by Thomas R. & Flora J. <br />Talboon of 23206 U. S. 20, South Bend, Indiana. <br />BIAS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Warner Wrecking Co. Elkhart, Indiana <br />Non -Collusion Affadavit properly signed <br />Demolition of structure, including water shut-off $ 475.00 <br />A. & J. Demolition 318 No. O'Brien St. South Bend, Indiana <br />Non -Collusion Affadavit properly signed <br />Demolition of Structure, retain salvage <br />and water shut-off $ 500.00 <br />t 2 <br />Demolish structure, stack on lot plus water shut-off $ 490.00 <br />Ralph Williams Wrecking 19947 W. Lynwood So. Bend, Ind. <br />Non -Collusion Affadavit properly signed <br />Demolition of structure and Water Shut off $ 347.00 <br />The Bid was awarded to Ralph Williams the lowest bidder, <br />
