January 24, 1966 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, January <br />24, 1966 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last <br />regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered <br />paid to the various suppliers <br />OPENING BIDS:- FIRE DEPARTMENT ( AERIAL LADDER ) <br />The time now being after 10:00 A.M. it was so announced and sealed bids for <br />one 100 foot aerial ladder for the Fire Department were opened and read <br />aloud. Proofs of Publication from the South Bend Tribune with affidavit <br />signed by Robert DeLong and the Tri-County News with affidavit signed by <br />Alfred W. Snyder, II were found sufficient. <br />The following bids were received: <br />American LaFrance <br />Division Sterli Precision Corp. <br />Elmira, New York 4902 <br />1 - American LaFrance Custom 4-Wheel Aerial,, Model 4-100, <br />Cab -Ahead -of -Engine, Aerial with complete Hydraulic <br />Operation;; with Model "L" 290 BHP, 6-cyl., in -line Engine <br />and allied equipment as per accompanying proposal <br />Total Cash Price $44,933.00 <br />Allowance for 1940 GMC Service Ladder Truck 2,500.00 <br />Total Cash Price Less 1940 Ladder Truck $42,433.00 <br />Optional Equipment as itemized on separate sheet <br />with proposal: Total Cash Price $ 6,041.33 <br />Delivery: 300 Calendar Days after Receipt of Executed <br />Contract <br />Bid Bond for 10% of the Bid, signed by F. Spotts, Asstt. Secy. <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit, signed by V. R.
