11M <br />o <br />January 3, 1966 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />January 3, 1966 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of <br />the last regular meeting and the special meetings were read and approved. <br />No vouchers were approved for payment. <br />OPENING BIDS: PQLICE DEPARTMENT ( 7 MOBILE RADIOS ) <br />The time being after 10:00 A.M. it was so announced and sealed bids for <br />7 Mobile Radios for use of the Police Department were opened and read <br />aloud. Proofs of Publication from the South Bend Tribune with affidavit <br />signed by Robert DeLong and the Tri-County News with affidavit signed by <br />Alfred W. McCormick <br />75.00 525.00 <br />$3,647.00 <br />$3,7 31.00 <br />It appears that the bid of General Electric Company is the lowest and <br />best bid.' .The Board will take bids under advisement and refer them to <br />the Police and Radio Departments to check with the specifications. <br />RE: STREET LIGHT INSTALLATIONS ON LINDEN AVENUE ( LETTER - HERCZEG ) <br />A letter from Mr. A. M. Herczeg, thanking the Board for the installation of <br />two street lights along Linden Avenue as per his request and requesting <br />that the budget should consider the additional installation of lights in <br />this area was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SPECIAL POLICE CCSVHISSION ( TRIBUNE ) <br />A Special Police Commission for Darwin E. Wilkeson, South Bend Tribune <br />employee, was approved by the Board. This Commission is covered by a <br />blanket Police Bond from the Tribune. The Commission was ordered placed <br />on file. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BOND <br />A Special Police Bond renewal for Allen E. Kester was approved and ordered <br />
