Sorin Street - awarded to A & J Demolition. <br />BEMMST-- NOIRE D9,VE, FOOTBALL TRAFFIC �CAPTAIN BUSSE EI <br />Comes now Captain Bussert, Police Traffic Department; and requested <br />permission to string a banner across Eddy S(;reet in 1300 Block <br />during the hours of heairy football traffic to and from the Notre Dane <br />Stadium on Notre Dame i4home" football games. <br />The proposed banner would be fastened to a pole which can be installed <br />by the Indiana & Michigan :;electric Company for this purpose and would <br />be approximately 15 feet high, <br />Captain Bussert requested this banner which will have arroz?,rs printed <br />on it to direct vehicular traffic into the proper traffic lanes to12 <br />avoid needless traffic congestion at this point. This would also <br />serve as a safety factor in moving traffic in and out of the Stadium <br />parking lots. <br />After hearing Captain Bussert; the Board approved the request, subject <br />to the consent and cooperation of the Indiana L, IUIJ_chigan Electric <br />Company Smith reference to the pole installation. <br />PAa?LIhIG Id TER REMOVALS L 0. GATES_ <br />Clem Hazinski; Traffic Director, recommended that parking meters Nos. <br />2 and 4 be removed from the 300 block of South Franklin Street in order <br />to provide for a curb cut approved for L. 0. Gates. <br />Since a previously used driveway will be closed, one of -these meters <br />will be installed at that location. <br />The Board approved the changes recommended. <br />TRAFFIC SIGNS INSTALLATIONS <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director, the <br />follo7uing traffic sign installations were approved: <br />3 No Parking Bus Stop signs on Sheridan Street south of Coquillard <br />Drive. <br />POLICE DEPARUvIENT RETIREMENT ( N. ESAREY ) <br />At the requeot of Officer Norman Esarey of the Police Department, the <br />Board approved his retirement; effective October 1, 1965 folloring <br />15 days terminal leave. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BONDS <br />Special Police Bonds for the following Special Police officers were <br />approved and ordered placed on file. Commissions for these officers <br />were formerly approved: Robert TM. Smith; George Doy and Ferrel C. <br />Kern, har.
