4 <br />October 4, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works 8, Safety was held on <br />Monday, October 4, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers. <br />were approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />BUILDING DEPARNENT - SUB -STANDARD DIVISION ( HEARINGS <br />Comes now Mr. C. O.Summers, owner of property at 119'E. Ohio Street. <br />11r. Summers advised the Board that he has now sold this property to <br />a Mr. Tm. Collon who intends to demolish the structure himself. <br />.Ir. Richard Liszewski, Director of the Sub -Standard Division was <br />directed by the Board to hold up bids for demolition and to contact <br />the new owner and advise him of the requirements of the Building <br />Department for demolition of property. <br />With reference to property located at 122 S. Laurel Street; Mr. Max <br />Cohen, owner of this property- appeared before the Board to shots <br />cause why he had not demolished the garage on this property as <br />directed. <br />Mr. Cohen advised the Board that he wished to repair the garage and <br />asked for a continuance to allow him to accomplish this repair. <br />After hearing Mr. Cohen, the Board advised him to contact Mr. Liszewski <br />and learn what has to be done to bring this structure up to Code. <br />A continuance of 45 days was granted to accomplish this work. <br />Tor. Liszewski reported to the Board that William and Freda Dugdale, <br />otmers of property located at 744 N. Allen Street had been given <br />an extension of time to make repairs on this property and that said <br />extension had now been terminated and the work had not been d.bne, <br />as ordered. <br />Mr. Liszevrski requested permission to advertise for bids for demolition. <br />Permission granted and Mr. Liszevrrski directed to notify the owners of <br />his intention. <br />I.Ir. Liszevrski reported that a garage on property- located at 820 Oalc <br />Street; ovmed by !vIr. ':,,'alter Lamirand, is sub -standard. This building <br />was ordered demolished but has not been and Mr. Liszevrski -requested <br />permiss'on to advertise for bids for demolition. <br />Permission granted. <br />With reference to property located at 324 S. Taylor Street, owned by <br />Mrs. Lillian Devon Mr. Liszewski reported that Mrs. Devon's s.on had <br />contacted him and advised that his mother was in a nursing home and <br />the property had been turned over to the County to pay for her support. <br />lv`r. Liszewski -requested permission to advertise for bids for demolition. <br />Permission granted, and Tarr.
