�U <br />August 30, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, August <br />301, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last <br />regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered <br />paid to the various suppliers. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT• DEMOTION ( P. KOZAK <br />Upon the request of Sgt.,Paul Kozak of the Police Department, for a demotion <br />to the rank of patrolman -froin- rank of Sergeant;o and to continue hia <br />assignment on the 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 P.M. detail, following the recommenda- <br />tion of Police Chief Hampton, the demotion was approved. However, at the <br />recommendation of Chief Hampton, Patrolman Kozak was promoted to the rank <br />of Sergeant on the 3:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. detail as Desk Sergeant. <br />Said change is effective September 1, 1965. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: APPLICATION- <br />�. An application for the Police Department from James Michael Thomas was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />City <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: TRAFFIC SIGNS <br />The following installations were approved: <br />3 "No Parking w/left and right & double arrows" on east side of <br />2300 Fellows from Ewing to alley south of Ewing. <br />Replace Yield sign on Marshall at 36th St. with a Stop sign. <br />Stop signs on Marshall at 34th Street. Also "Stop Ahead". <br />1130 Minute Time Limit" signs on limit parking in front of 122 E. - <br />Sample Street. <br />PETITIONS: STREET LIGHTS <br />The following Petitions for street lights were reviewed by the Board and <br />referred to the Electrical Department for investigation and recommendation: <br />Petition from Councilman Janet Allen for a light in the 700 block of <br />Wenger Street. <br />Petition for alley at junction of alley running north from Lincoln Way <br />Weat between Cottage Grove and Harrison and alley running east from <br />Harrison Avenue. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT:_ APPLICATIONS <br />The following applications -for the Police Department were accepted and <br />ordered placed on file: Eric Edward Uitdenhowen, Guy Michael. Tevis and <br />Richard Keith Wilson. <br />POLICE SCHOOL AUXILIARY APPLICATIONS <br />The following applications for Auxiliary School Police were accepted and <br />ordered placed on file: Naomi M.
