M�,� � (4, <br />July 26, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, July <br />26, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. Messrs. Robert J. DuComb and Lloyd S. Taylor <br />were present. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. <br />Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />ELECTRICAL I)EPARnENT ( STREET LIGM PETITIONS ) <br />The following Petitions for the installation of street lights were referred <br />to the Electrical Department for investigation and recommendation; <br />1. Susex Drive from Canterbury to Grove by installation of 2 lights. <br />2. Garden Lane from Sample Street to Meadow Lane by installation of <br />1 Light., <br />3. Install 1 light at 813 S.Kosciusko Street. <br />4. Installl 1 light in 2600 block of West Grace Street between Meade <br />and Kaley Streets. <br />STREET LIGHT.' OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SUB -STANDARD DIVISION: OPEN BIDS DEMOLITION <br />Corms now Richard Liszewski, Supervisor of the Sub -Standard Division of <br />the Building Department, and advises the Board that Mr. Wilfred Crane <br />was present to remonstrate against demolition of property located at <br />201-2 E. Keasey Street which had been advertised for demolition. <br />Mr. Crane advised the Board that he had purchased this property but <br />did not have clear title as of this date due to a lien on the property. <br />Clear title would be forthcoming very soon, after which he was prepared <br />to bring property up to standard. He requested a continuance, which <br />was approved. <br />Case continued until September 13, 1965. <br />BID_ FOR DEMOLITION <br />The following bid for demolition of property located at 229 E. Paris <br />Street, owned by C. Entzien was opened and read aloud; <br />A & J Demolition Co. <br />318 O'Brien Street. Retain salvage $550.00 <br />South Bend, Indiana Water shut-off 25.00 <br />$575.00 <br />Stack salvage $565.00 <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit properly signed and bid in order and since this <br />is the only bid and appears to be a fair bid, it was awarded to A & J. <br />Demolition Company. <br />SUB -STANDARD DIVISION ( PAST PROPERTY ) <br />Mr. Richard Liszewski, Sub -Standard Division, advised the Board that <br />property located at 601-6012 E. Pennsylvania Avenue was in very poor <br />condition. Extensive repair orders had been ignored by owner, Mr. <br />W. Miltenberger. <br />Mr. Liszewski requested permission to post buildings for-.demo1mtion..and <br />advertise for bids. <br />Request granted. <br />
