77 <br />July 12, 1965 <br />A regular meting of the,Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />July 12, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of <br />the last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were <br />approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />BUIIDING NT - SUB -STANDARD DIVISION ( HEARINGS ) <br />Comes now Richard Liszewski, Director of the Sub -Standard Division <br />of the Building Department, and requests permission to advertise <br />for bids for demolition for property owned by Geraldine Entzian, <br />located at 229 E. Paris Street. <br />Permission granted. <br />With reference to property owned by Ross Weldy and located at <br />1911 S. Clyde Street, Mr. Liszewski advised the Board that Mr. Weldy <br />had not complied with repair orders but had requested an additional <br />extension of 30 days to complete repairs. He has already had a 90 <br />day extension. However, his latest extension request is based on <br />the fact that he was in the Elkhart Palm Sunday storm and did not <br />U have the available funds to make the repairs on this South Bend <br />V property. <br />Under these circumstances, the Board granted an additional. 30 day <br />extension. <br />With reference to property located at 830 S. Rush Street, Mr. Liszewski <br />reported to the Board that the owner had requested an additional. 14 <br />days in which to get work started on this property. <br />Extension of two weeks granted. <br />Mr. Liszewski reported to the Board that repair orders issued on <br />property located at 201- E.�_Keasey, owned by George Blair, had been <br />ignored and requested permission to order demolition. <br />Permission granted. <br />RESOLUTION: IND= STATE HIGHWAY CCiMSSION ( RESTRICTING PARKING ON <br />SR 2 <br />An executed copy of a Resolution restricting parking on SR 23 in the <br />City of South Bend, adopted the 6th day of July, 1965, was accepted <br />by the Board and ordered placed on file. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER ( SIGNS ) <br />The Board approved the installation of the following traffic signs: <br />2 1130 Minute Time Limit" signs on the east side of Notre Dame Avenue <br />south of Madison. <br />"No Parking This Side of Street" on north side of Magyar Court - 1900 <br />block. <br />REQUEST: POLICE DEPARTMENT ( SAFETY SIGNS ) <br />Captain Bussert of the Police Department, requested permission to erect <br />Safety signs at various locations at the City limits in order to promote <br />safe driving in the City of South Bend. <br />Permission granted. <br />
