Derrough <br />to the Police DeDartment was changed from TvIarch 1, 1965 to 11aif-ch.. <br />16, 1965. <br />This appointment was ,recorded in the minutes of a special meeting of <br />the Board on February 16, 1965. <br />POLICE DEEPJAR'MENTRESIGNAT <br />ION _L R ION ( ES COTT <br />00 Chief of Police Hampton submitted the ir2it-t-en resignation of Police <br />Officer Richard Scott to the Board. <br />The Board accepted the resignation of Officer Scott, to be effective <br />at the end of the day-, of 1,11arch 8, 1965. <br />I <br />I <br />POLICE MEMARTIvEM DQ10TION _( DET,-SGT,-D, FQj <br />Chief of Police Hampton submitted a letter to the Board in which he <br />advised the Board that Detective Sergeant Donald Foy has requested that <br />be be demoted from Detective Sergeant to Patrolman. Officer Foy had <br />been assigned to the Wee Squad and found that these hours were incompatible <br />lui-ith regard to his family life. Chief. Hampton --requested the Board to <br />consider the demotion favorably and that the demotion be made retroactive <br />to 1,11arch 16, 1965. <br />In accordance 7T-'CLh his request, Officer Foy will be assigned to the <br />Traffic Bureau, 1..Tidnight Accident Car. <br />Folloir,iing the recommendat-lon of Chief Hampton, the Board approved the <br />demotion as submitted. <br />REBUILD STREET LIGHTS <br />CALYERT & TWYCIMNHAM DRIVE AREA) <br />Eugene Radecih, Superintendent of the Electrical Department, submitted <br />a Proposal from the Indiana & 1Nli. chirrm-i Electric Corqpairy- and attached <br />proposal which reads as follo,.,,rs: <br />The Indiana & Michigan Electric Company proposes to rebuild the <br />Street lights in the vicinity of Calvert and Tjry-ekenham Drive <br />as shown on the attached drawing. <br />At the rear of 602 E. Victoria., we propose to remove a 1000 lumen <br />light that is blockirg an exlisting driveway into a garage and <br />in its place install a 4000 Lunen over -head light as shovm on <br />the same attached drayt-ing. <br />The present billing on the existing lights at these locations is: <br />5 - 1000 L-w-,ie-_ri underground lights 0 $2.00 per mo. <br />4 - 2500 Lumen underground lights @ S2.50 per mo. <br />The proposed lights cost the city as follows: <br />$10.00 <br />$10.00 <br />$20.00 <br />
