q <br />March 15, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />March 15, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the <br />last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and <br />ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />APPOINT NTS • PO ICE DEPART1,1ENT WROBIQ'ISKI & DERROUGH ) <br />The Board of Public Safety having considered the applications of Thomas <br />Bruce Wroblewski and Edward Michael DerrouCh for appointment to the <br />Police Department, and such applicts having passed the necessary <br />examinations for such appointment satisfactorily, and the Board having <br />been informed on the premises and considered said appointments, it is <br />now ordered that Thomas Bruce Wroblewski and Edward Michael Derrough <br />are hereby appointed to the Police Department, effective March 16, 1965. <br />APPLICA ONS • PO I.CE DEPARTTE+IENT <br />�. The following applications for the Police Department were accepted and <br />tS ordered placed on file: Daniel Martin Goralski, Robert Taylor Clark, <br />Joseph Stephen Markovich. <br />U SPECIAL POLICE B ND TORRINGT02 <br />U <br />A Special Police Bond to cover the following special police who are <br />presently employed at Torrington Company was submitted to the Board. <br />This Bond is a blanket bond and will eventually cover all Torrington <br />Bpecial Police employees. <br />The Board approved thie Bond and ordered same placed on file. <br />The employees covered are; <br />Frank Skibinski <br />Edward T. Wagnerorski <br />Frank Sochocki, Jr. <br />Louis F. Tomshock <br />cCUPLATN`.e.REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHT ( VANDALISTJ ON S. MICHIGAN ) <br />A request for better street lighting at Garst between Michigan & Main <br />Streets, previously referred to the Electrical Department for investiga- <br />tion and recommendation was referred to the Engineering Department for <br />further �izvestigation. <br />Mr. Radecki, Electrical Department Superintendent, recommended the <br />installation of a 4000 lumen light at this location. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPARTI.TNT MONTHLY REPORT <br />A Report for the month of February, 1965 from the Police Department <br />,eras accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SUB -STANDARD DIVISION <br />Comes now Richard Lisewski, Sub -Standard Division Supervisor;'and <br />informed the Board that property located at 135-1.351 E. Ohio Street, <br />o,,med by James Griffin, is in very poor condition and that repair orders <br />have not been complied with. <br />T?Ir. Lisewski requested permission to post the building as sub -standard. <br />Permission granted. <br />
