POLICE DEPARMvIENT <br />Copy of Transcript of Proceedings in the Matter or Edward J. Nayrrocki <br />of the South Bend Police Department at the time of the Hearing on <br />alleged violations of the Rules and Regulations of the Police Department <br />an -February 16, 1965 was filed with the Board by Miss Leona White, <br />shorthand reporter on February 18, 1965. <br />Copy of said Transcript was submitted to the Board on February 23, 1965, <br />and ordered placed on file in the Office of the Board of Public Works <br />Safety. <br />The Board of Public Safety will convene at a special meeting on March 1, <br />1965 at 2:00 P.M. to hear arguments with reference to Mr. Nawrocki's case, <br />U pursuant to request of the defense <br />The secretary of the Board was directed to send letters, advising of <br />this meeting to the following: <br />U <br />Police Chief Hampton <br />TAessrs. John Montgomery and William A. Hosinski, attorneys for the <br />defendant. <br />Police officer Edward J. Nawrocki, defendant <br />Members of the Board of Public Safety <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT: ATTEND CONVENTION M. PECK <br />At the request of Forrest R. ;lest, Building Commissioner, permission <br />was granted to Morgan Peck, the Department's Sign Inspector, to attend <br />the National Electric Sign Association Convention in St. Louis, Miccouri <br />from March 7 to March 9, 1965. <br />REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHT - ST. VINCENT STREET <br />A request from Pdrs. Jacob Seeger of 718 E. St. Vincent Street, for a <br />street light at the alley of the 700 block of E. St Vincent Street <br />was submitted to the Board and referred to the Electrical Department <br />for investigation and recommendation. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: TRAFFIC SIGN INSTALLATIONS <br />FolloNlri.ng the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer, the following <br />installations were approved: <br />3 11 No Parking Passenger Loading Zone" signs on E. side of Hill Street <br />north of Colfax attached 117 a.m. - 9 a.m., 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., 2 p.m. - <br />4 p.m. (Mon. ThLm:.:Fri.''- plates below. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT; MONTHLY REPORT <br />A Report from the Police Department for the month of January, 1965 was <br />accepted by the Board and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPAR'iNENT: APPLICATION <br />An application for the Police Department from Donald Dean VJygaat was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SPECIAL POLICE COItg9SSION ( MCQUEEN ) <br />Special Police Commission for Rod McQueen, employed by Meyers Detective <br />Agency was approved, pending receipt of Special Police Bond. <br />
