CO. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the request of Taylor <br />Construction Company, Inc., 520 E. Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana, to <br />occupy two parking spaces at meters #20 and #22 on the east side of Main <br />Street, 100 feet north of Western Avenue for a period of approximately 90 <br />days during construction of a new building for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber <br />Company, was referred to the Traffic Engineering Department for study and <br />recommendation. <br />DISCONTINUANCE CENTRAL STATION STEAM HEATING SERVICE - INDIANA & MICHIGAN <br />ELECTRIC COMPANY <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, notice received from <br />Indiana and Michigan Electric Company, addressed to the Board of Public <br />Works and theCity Water Works and the Board of Public Works and the "Civic" <br />Theatre, under date of January 9, 1970, to the effect that it is seeking <br />permission from the Public Service Commission to discontinue its central <br />station steam heating service, was referred to the City Engineer and to <br />the Legal Department for study and recommendation. <br />TRAFFIC SIGN APPROVED - BROOKFIELD AT BERGAN <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of Traffic Engineering for the replacement of a "yield" sign <br />on Brookfield at Bergan Street with a "stop" sign. <br />
