Groves.of Certificate #12, known as <br />a "certificate of public convenience and necessity" in the Courtesy Cab <br />Association, subject to certificate of proper insurance coverage being <br />provided. <br />GENERAL INSURANCE - THOMAS J. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, <br />Indiana, dated 9/2/69,be accepted and approved in,lieu of a performance bond for <br />the construction of Pimm's Lane and Topswood Lane and Resurfacing Topsfield <br />Road, in Topsfield Addition, as set out in said letter. <br />REQUEST OF CRYSTAL CLEANERS & LAUNDRY TO RENEW LEASE - WESTERN AND CHAPIN <br />C..) Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the request of Crystal <br />Cleaners and Laundry for a renewal of its tease of the property at Western <br />and Chapin was referred to the City Attorney for review and recommendation <br />to the Board. <br />MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM LEASE <br />Copy of lease of Morris Civic Auditorium with Young men's Christian Association <br />of South Bend and Mishawaka for "The Soul Sounds" on 8/30/69 was reviewed <br />and ordered filed. <br />PARKING METERS - DOWNTOWN BUSINESS AREA - REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering for the replacement of parking <br />meters 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 8 and 10 in the 200 block of W. Jefferson. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimous'y carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of Traffic Engineering for the removal of parking meters 3, <br />5, 7 and 9 in the 100 block of S. St. Joseph Street. <br />Action on the recommendation of Traffic Engineering for the removal of <br />five hour meters in the 100 block of W. South Street was postponed one <br />week until further information is received. <br />STREET LIGHTS APPROVED - MODEL CITIES AREA <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommnedations of Traffic Engineering for additional lighting in the Model <br />Cities Area as follows: <br />Bounded by Jefferson, Laurel, Western and Cherry; Replace 28 4000L INC OH <br />WP existing street lights with 7000L MV OH WP, at a cost of $21.90 per month <br />to the City. Installation of one 7000L MV OH WP at the alley intersection <br />on Laurel north of Western, at a cost of $3.75 per month. <br />Bounded by Longley, Johnson Oran a and Meade: Replace 19 4000L INC OH WP <br />with 7000L MH OH WP; replace one 4000L INC with a 20,000L MV OH WP; and <br />replace one 2500L INC OH WP with a 7000L MV OH WP; install five 7000L MV OH WP. <br />At a total cost to the City of $39.35 per month. <br />Area within Sample, Hiqh, Indiana and Michigan: Replace 65 4000L INC OH WP <br />street lights with 7000E MV OH WP; install 27 7000L MV OH WP street lights <br />(mainly at mid -block locations). Total cost $159.75 per month. <br />
