August 11, 1969 Ida, 1 ", A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety met at 9:30 A.M. on August 11, 1969, with the City Engineer and.the City Attorney present. Taylor, City Engineer, files assessment roll showing award of damages and assessment of benefits, in Vacttion Resolution No. 3295,.being for the vacation of: FRANKLIN STREET from Western Avenue south to Monroe Street Reserving the rights and easements of all utilities and the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana to construct and maintain any facilities, including but not limited to electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches within the vacated right- of-way unless such rights are released by the individual utilities. Total Net Damages 00.00 Total Net Benefits 00.00 The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation: Lots Numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 61 7 and 8 of Block 8 of Vail's Southwest Addition, and Lots Numbered 24, 25, 26, 271 28, 29, 30 and 31 of Part of Vail's Southwest Addition. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board.adopted said Assessment Roll and set--.9:30 A.M. on September 8, 1969, as the date for hearing all persons interested in or affected by said vacation. 'And the Clerk was directed to + publish notice of such hearing in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on August 15, August 22, and August 29, 1969. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION N0. 3247 - S. CARLISLE Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Assessment Roll hearing on<�pt:ei;►ent Resolution No. 3247, being for the improvement of: South Carlisle Street from Prairie Avenue to Indiana Avenue with curb repair was further continued at the request of City Engineer. another two weeks and will come up again August 25, 1969. ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION N0, 3298, 1969 - BENDIX CORPORATION RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: a portion of Prast Blvd. between Illinois Street on the East and the intersection of Sheridan Avenue and Ardmore Trail on the West, more particularly described as follows: A tract of land located in the East one-half (2) of Section 4, Portage Township, beginning on the north line of Prast Boulevard as now exists at a point 3.02 feet west of the west line of Illinois Street; thence west on and along the north line of said Prast Boulevard a distance of 480.29 feet to its intersection with the southerly line of Ardmore Trail; thence S 630 22' W on and along said southerly line of Ardmore Trail a distance of 108.162 feet to its intersection with the easterly line of Sheridan Avenue; thence south on and along said east line of Sheridan Avenue a distance of 31.51 feet to its intersection with the south lane of Prast Boulevard; thence east on and,along said south line of Prast Boulevard a distance of 576.98 feet to a point 3.02 feet west of the west line of Illinois Street; thence
