Mr. Adamson reported some of the debris at this location, but not all of it, had been removed; that the house is open and in bad condition; that it could be rehabilitated but the owner lacks funds to do so. Contract for demolition having been awarded on July 14, 1969, but taken under advisement for two weeks, the contract is now formally signed by the Board and awarded to John E. Vanek on his tow bid of $542.00. Demolition bids opened: This being the date set, bids were opened for demolition of the following properties. Non collusion affidavits were examined and found to be proper. Bids were: 810 W. Jefferson: A & J Demolition Company - $475.85 A Midwest Wrecking & Demolition $783.00 Julius O'Neal - $845.00 Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract was •. awarded to A & J Demolition Company on its low bid of $475.85, subject to the owner of the property taking an appeal within the next seven days. 612 E. Ohio Street: A & J Demolition Company - $533.50 O'Neal Trucking Company - $475.00 Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract was awarded to O'Neal Trucking Company on its bid of:.$475.00, subject to the owner of the property taking an appeal within the next seven days. Demolition contract signed: 417 S. William Street. The owner of this property having taken no appeal within seven days and no other demolition permit having been issued, contract awarded July 21, 1969, to Julius O'Neal on his low bid of $810.00 is now formally signed by the Board. Request for owners of sub -standard properties to appear before Board 8/4/69 Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, thie Board approved the request of J. W. Adamson, Sub -Standards Director, for the following owners of sub=standard properties to appear before the Board on August 4, 1969, to show cause, if any they have, why such properties should not be demolished: Mary H. Gluchowski 133 S. Scott Street Eli Vodick 315 W. Garst Street And the Clerk is directed to so notify said owners by certified mail. PROMOTIONS AND DEMOTION - POLICE DEPARTMENT Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of Chief;_of Police Thomas McNaughton for the following promotions: Kenneth Del inski - to the rank of sergeant, effective 7/28/69 John Haney - to the rank of sergeant, effective 7/28/69 Daniel Thompson - to the rank of sergeant, effective 7/28/69 and the demotion of Donald Niezgodski, at his request, from sergeant to patrolman, effective 7/28/69.
