1�. a O <br />June 23, 1969 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:40 <br />A.M. on June 23, 1969, with Lloyd S. Taylor and James A. Bickel present. <br />Also present was Deputy City Attorney Robert N. Parker. The minutes of <br />the previous meetings were reviewed and approved. <br />BIDS OPENED - STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3258 (AMENDED) - being for the improve- <br />ment of Hartman Drive, from Rosemary Lane to dead end, by constructing <br />a Class C pavement with curbs. <br />J�iPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3260 (AMENDED) - being for the improve- <br />ment of 33rd Street, from Pleasant Street to Northside Boulevard, <br />by constructing a Class C pavement with curb repair., <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3263 (AMENDED),- being for the improve- <br />ment of 35th Street, from Jefferson Boulevard to the Railroad south <br />of Jefferson Boulevard, by constructing a Class C pavement with <br />curb repair. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3265 (AMENDED) - being for the improve- <br />ment of Clyde Street, from Donald to Calvert, by constructing a <br />Class C pavement with curb repair. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3266 (AMENDED) - being for the improve- <br />rlrent of Sancome Avenue, from LaPorte to'Lincolnway West, by construct- <br />ing a Class C pavement with curb repair. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3267 (AMENDED) - being for the improvement <br />of West Calvert Street, from Pulaski to Brookfield, by constructing a <br />Class C pavement with curb repair. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3268 (AMENDED) - being for the improve- <br />ment of Walsh Street, from Chalfant Street to Sorin Street, by <br />constructing a Class C pavement with curbs. <br />This being the date set for receiving bids in the above Improvement Resolu- <br />tions, the Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri County News on June 13 and June 20, 1969, which were read and <br />found to be sufficient. <br />Bids were opened, non collusion affidavits were found to be proper and bid <br />bonds of 50/. of the total bid accompanying each bid were found to be sufficient. <br />Form 96a, Financial Statement of Bidders, was also submitted with the bid of <br />Bituminous Materials Company, Inc. <br />Bids were as follows: <br />Improvement Resolution No. 3258 - Hartman Drive: <br />Bituminous Materials Company, Inc. <br />Room 417 Marycrest Bldg. <br />2015 Western Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Total extension - Items 1B, 2B, 3 through 8 inclusive - $15,724.00 <br />Total extension - Items 1C, 2C, 3 through 8 inclusive - $13,454.00 <br />Rieth Riley Construction Co., Inc. <br />P. 0.
