Special Meeting - June 19, 1969 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was held at <br />11:30 A.M., on June 19, 1969,`with all members present. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to establish the rates to be charged in <br />the off street municipal parking structures commonly referred to as the <br />"Off -Street Parking Project 1969." <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted: <br />"RESOLUTION NO. 6-19-69 <br />"WHEREAS, Chapter 190, Acts of 1955 of the <br />Indiana General Assembly provides the`Board of Public <br />Works with the power, subject to approval.of the Council, <br />to fix the rates and charges to be collected for the <br />parking of vehicles of any off-street parking facility, <br />Clt <br />"NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board <br />of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend <br />that fees for parking in the off-street parking <br />facilities to be constructed under the name of "Off -Street <br />Parking Project 1969" be established at the rate of <br />thirty-five cents (350 for the first hour, or portion. <br />thereof, fifteen cents -050 each additional hour, or <br />portion thereof, with a maximum charge for single parking <br />of ninety-five cents . (950 . <br />"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said off-street <br />parking facility shall remain open each business day from <br />the hours of 6:00 A.M. until midnight. local time. <br />"Adopted this 19th day of June, 1969. <br />THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY <br />S/ Lloyd S.
