5/26/69 <br />719 W. Jefferson Street. Mr. Adamson stated this is the only "bad" house in <br />the block and there have been numerous complaints. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, permission was granted to advertise for bids for <br />demolition of -the property. And Mr. Adamson was directed to -again write the owner,,,. <br />724 South Bend Avenue. Upon motion made, seoD nded and unanimously carried, the <br />bid for demolition of 724 South Bend Avenue was awarded to Julius O'Neal at <br />$749.00, that being the second lowest and best bid received on May 19, 1969, <br />the bid of A. Midwest Wrecking and Demolition Company at $230.00 having been <br />erroneously made. <br />1131 E. Bowman Street. Bids for demolition of this structure were opened. <br />Non collusion affidavits were found to be proper. Bids were as follows: <br />Julius O'Neal - $860.00 <br />Harvey R. Bryant - $885.00 <br />A & J Demolition Company - $933.00 <br />A. Midwest Wrecking & Demolition Co. - $629.00 <br />It was reported that attorney John Montgomery, representing the owner of this <br />CC, property had requested a building permit and had presented a proposal from <br />C, Allied Construction Company, 1110 Western Avenue, in the amount of $8,212.44 <br />for the repair of this structure, which bui--lding permit was not issued because <br />{ of the impending demolition. <br />The motion was made that award of contract for demolition of the premises be <br />held for a period of 30 days; that the Building Department be directed to issue <br />a building permit; and that the contractor be granted 30 days in which to get <br />the proposed reconstruction under way. Motion was seconded and unanimously <br />carried. <br />413 E. Ohio Street. Bids were opened for the demolition of this structure. <br />Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper. Midwest Wrecking & Demolition - $484.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the -property was awarded to A& J Demolition -Company at $435.00 as the low <br />bidder. <br />824 S. Liberty. Bids were opened for demolition of this structure. Non <br />collusion affidavit was found to be proper, with each bid. Midwest Demolition - <br />$165.00 <br />A & J Demolition - <br />$225.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />contract for demolition <br />of the property was awarded to A.
