SPECIAL MEETING - May 13, 1971 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:00 <br />A.M., with all members present. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Having been reported to the Board that the structure at 1005-1007 S. Carroll <br />Street, also known as Lot 6, except 10 feet from the north side of Hutchins <br />Addition, is in a dangerous and precarious condition due to several fires, <br />the last of which occurred May 10, 1971, and that the public safety and <br />welfare is found to be endangered by this structure and that the owner of <br />said structure, Richard B. Brimmer, whose wife is deceased, having signed <br />an agreement permitting the City of South Bend to demolish such structure, <br />the Board now finds that an emergency exists and orders the Sub -Standard <br />Building Department to obtain three quotations for the demolition of said <br />structure and to award the demolition on the basis of the lowest and best <br />quotation. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting ad- <br />journed at 9:10 A.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />1 <br />
