BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION Forrest West Building Commissioner, appeared before the Board and the following matters were taken up: 1207 King Street. Mr. West reported the Sub -Standards Department as yet has been unable to contact the owner; that he has an unlisted telephone number and is employed at Bendix and hard to reach. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued four weeks. 122 S. Laurel Street. Mr. West reported this property still occupied d that an effort is being made to relocate the tenants. Upon Motion mae,, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter pertaining to 122 S. Laurel Street was continued four weeks. 2116 Western Avenue.,Attorney George Stratigos did not,appear on behalf of the owner as requested. It was moved, seconded and carried, that since the representative of the owner has failed to appear as requested at the past two Board meetings that,the Board award contract on January 18, 1971 (if no appearance is made) for demolition of the structure at 2116 00 Western Avenue to the low bidder.on August 31, 1970, and that the $25.00 depositbe forfeited. _ WEIGHTS & MEASURES DEPARTMENT - REPORT FOR DECEMBER, 1970 The report of the Weights and Measures Department for December, 1970, was reviewed and ordered filed. 1002 CULVER PLACE - LETTER FROM CHARLES M. MATERNOWSKI A letter from Charles M. Maternowski, 726 S. Beale Street, South Bend, Indiana in reference to the demolition of the structure at 1002 Culver Place and his contemplated purchase was read and ordered filed. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS APPROVED - GILMER PARK SEWER, DIVISIONS "B" AND "C" Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, plans and specifications were approved by the Board for the Gilmer Park Sewer, Divisions "B" and "C," as recommended by the Engineering Department. PETITION FILED TO VACATE STREETS AND ALLEYS WITHIN THE NEW POST OFFICE SITE - DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT The Department of Redevelopment files with the Board its petition to vacate streets and alleys within the new Post Office site at Michigan and Monroe Streets, more particularly described as follows: A part of the west Half of Section 12, Township 37 north, Range 2 east, city of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the east boundary of South Michigan Street (U.
