<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:30
<br />A.M., with all members present. Minutes of previous meetings were reviewed
<br />and approved.
<br />BIDS OPENED - SLURRY SEAL MACHLNES
<br />This -being the date set for receiving bids for slurry seal machines, the
<br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune
<br />and the Tri County News on January 1 and January 8, 1971, which were read
<br />and found to be sufficient. The following bids were received:
<br />Deeds Equipment Company, Inc., P. O. Box 261.14, Lawrence, Indiana, 46226.
<br />Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper. The bid was accompanied
<br />by a bid bond in the amount of $3,000.00. The bid was as follows:
<br />2 - Hi -Way Slurry Masters, Model SM-10 Resurfacing
<br />Machines, installed on existing Street Department
<br />cabs and chassis. F.o.b. factory less trade-in of
<br />two 1964 Young SB series Slurry Machines. Delivery

<br />53703. Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper. The bid was
<br />accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid. The bid was

<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the bids were referred
<br />to the Engineering Department for study and recommendation to the Board.
<br />BIDS OPENED - GILMER PARK TRUNK SEWER, DIVISION "A"
<br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the construction of the Gilmer
<br />Park trunk sewer, Division "A." the Clerk tendered proofs of publication of
<br />notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on December 19 and
<br />December 26, 1970, which were read and found to be sufficient. The follow-
<br />ing bids were received:
<br />Bartolini Excavating Co., 16242 Day Road, Mishawaka, Indiana. Non
<br />collusion affidavit was found to be proper. The bid was accompanied
<br />by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, together with bidder's
<br />financial statement (Form 96-a). Total bid - $98,824.92. Completion
<br />time 150 calendar.days.

<br />Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper. The bid was accompanied
<br />by a bid bond 'in the amount of 5% of the bid, together with bidder's

<br />time 150 calendar days.

<br />accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, together with
